Fatality

There were three terrible fatalities today here in Idaho Falls.  Well maybe not fatality, but at least permanently scarred.  The rumor is that a terrible four legged monster grabbed two of them while the other wilted away under the heat of the day.

The first victim, a two week old cucumber:

Apparently Clyde (the monster) didn't appreciate cucumbers and after a few bites decided to move on....  to the watermelon...

Which tasted much better.  This is the watermelon plant that still has a leaf left.  The other wasn't quite so lucky.  Unfortunately the evil monster wasn't the only predator today.  The heat lamp also felt the need to get a little closer to the plants...a little too close...

Luckily this cucumber has super powers and will likely grow new leafs.

Please help me.  The survival rate at our house is diminishing.
